Happy New Year Carol! You have an incredible memory, I can barely recall anything from last week, much less from when we were teenagers. But I definitely agree that the Clan of the Back Row was the coolest group to be in :) Didn't we pool our hole punchers and liquid paper bottles or something ...
Posted by Alicia -- January 1, 2007 05:47 PMHey Alicia, thanks for stopping by! Happy 2007 to you too! My memory isn't that great, I can't remember what I ate yesterday or what my boss told me this morning. But you know how we, for some reason, can remember many clear details from certain chapters of our lives? Well, RGS was one such chapter. And your memory isn't bad either, you reminded me about the liquid paper stuff... LIQUID PAPER! Haha... do people even use those anymore?
Yup I tried blotting out a typo the other day ... but it ruined my laptop screen leh ... ;)

Buckle
Orientation just ended! So sad... These songs were one of those we learnt at camp. Here's one more...
Pass it on
It only takes a spark
To get a fire going
And soon all those around
Can warm up in it's glowing
That's How it is with God's love
Once you experience it
You'll want(Yes you'll want)
To pass(to pass)
It on
(pass it on, pass it on, pass it pass it pass it on)
What a wonderous time is spring
When all the treees are budding
The birds begin to sing
the flowers start their blooming
That's How it is with God's love
Once you experience it
You'll want to sing
It's fresh like spring
You'll want(Yes you'll want)
To pass(to pass)
It on
(pass it on, pass it on, pass it pass it pass it on)
I wish for you my friend
This happiness that I've found
You can depend on Him
It matters not where you're bound
I'll shout it from the mountaintop (RAFFLES!)
I want the world to know
The lord of love has come to me
And I want(Yes I want)
To pass(to pass)
It on
(pass it on, pass it on, pass it pass it pass it on)
Hi Alisa, thanks for sharing the lyrics to Pass It On. We definitely sang that a lot too. Brings back memories. I was in Richardson house, and when I came to the States I stayed in Richardson, Texas (a suburb of Dallas) for a few years. Don't know why that crossed my mind. Maybe because you mentioned Buckle. I just realized I'm 19 years your senior. Hmmm....
Posted by Carol -- January 16, 2007 01:23 AMHey, just an old girl (class of 88) passing through. Got misty eye reading the lyrics. and even mistier (?!) thinking for good old Richardson. Always a winner!!

We are richardsonians,
We are lethal as onions,
We are zany to the core
We are blue forevermore,
We are richardsonians!

hi! andi'm from 109, 2009 (THIS YEAR!:D). and i'm a HADLIAN! (the first to post here i see.) and yeah, we actually sang those songs during raffles initiation too. and the seniors are all crazy and awesome at cheering. :))))) and today was the badge initiation ceremony with the candles and pass it on song and tmr will be the orientation camp! but i'm pretty afraid of the camp bec 1 class only has half an hour to bathe and i heard that we have to undress while queueing then run into the cubicle to shower! DDDDDDD: i'm scared okayy. and the songs are fab and so are the cheers. we just learned the united one today.
and the rgs house cheer too and the filiae melioris aevi one.
Hehe, I just happened to google the lyrics for Dedication and it brought me to this blog (: I'm a graduated-year-2008-Bucklean (since everyone else is sharing this info).
I haven't got much to say actually, except that I've not heard of the Motto song before O:
And well, Dedication has always been my favourite song at RGS, not only because we sing it during all our school functions, but also because it was that one song that seemed to sum up all the hopes we had as ickle Sec Ones during Orientation'05 for the 4 years we would be spending at RGS.
Right, that's all I've to say haha xD Um, thanks for sharing the lyrics!
