Don't trust anyone over 30

Guess I'm officially untrustworthy now? Haha... that's something the baby boomers said in the 1960s. I just learnt about it last week. I don't know about whether I can be trusted now (or even before ?!) but turning 30 is... well, a lesser deal than I thought. Sure, I feel older (can't say I'm in my 20s anymore), and I start to worry about wrinkles and whether I'm saving enough money for my retirement etc... but, it's not like I needed a big celebration. It's just another birthday. Actually I didn't even want to celebrate it at first after all the "excitement" I've had for the past few weeks. But I'm glad I had my close friends and family with me that day. And also those who couldn't be with me... all your birthday greetings warmed my heart. Thank you so much, each and every one of you. Whether it's a simple message, phone call... or beautiful flowers, gifts... I treasure them all. And here's an entry from my best friend Megan's phlog. When you have friends like this (remembers my idiosyncrasies yet still loves me for them, or in spite of them), you know you've not lived in vain...

Carol has been my best friend for 17 years (?!). Can't remember the first point of contact but it was during band practice footdrill sessions. She wore white framed specs and attend footdrill for 2 consecutive days altho we only needed to do one session. Turns out that she found footdrill fun and did not mind coming for another session (hmmm...so why are we friends? i would NEVER go for 2 session!!) other than that, she visits my house and she even accompanied me to the dentist and she patiently sat at the waiting area till i was done. Despite all these activities, Carol is smart(understatement) and can multi task....she never forgets my birthday and i don't forget hers.....this is the picture of the flowers delivered to her from me...

Well, just came across your site... sounds interesting... so i just want to drop a line or two after reading this posting.

I guess everyone will have wrinkles sooner or later. I think the beauty of you or anyone else is not because you do not have wrinkles, but because your personality, your friendliness, ... in short your inner beauty attract people. It's inner beauty that lasts and counts!

BTW, I always think ladies (and men) over 30 are more charming than they are at younger age. I think people are more attracted to your charm than to your having no wrinkles.

Enjoy life!

AC, I know that wrinkles are just a fact of life as we age. My fellow INFP, you should know better that we don't obsess too much about superficial things like that. I think this is the first time ever I mentioned about wrinkles in my blog and you made it sound like that's all I worry about! Please give me more credit than that and read my other posts if you wish to know what really matters to me. (And no, it's not money either even though recently I've been yakking about that due to the unfortunate events I have encountered.) We're often misunderstood as INFP's... I don't need another INFP misunderstanding me!

Sheesh, I remember 30 like it was 2 years ago! No wrinkles yet, but a few gray hairs. At least I know who I am a lot better than I did in my 20s.

i am 35. I have lots of gray hair since I was 21. :-) I'm proud of having gray hair though someone asked me to dye it. Now I am slowly waiting to have my head full of gray hair - all white. That'd be cool. I think.

Geez T-bone, 2 years ago, you WERE 30.

All white hair will be cool I guess. But I like purple. Maybe I'll dye it a dark purple and as I age, gradually lighten it to a pale lilac...
